Factors & Multiples

In Maths we have been learning about Factors and Multiples.  Here is a great way to review the difference, a slideshow to explain them both:

WHAT A WONDERFUL START TO THE TERM!

Week 1 was fantastic.  It is such a privilege to work with such an energetic, enthusiastic and caring class.  :-)

P.E. Uniform & Shoes:

We have Winter Sports days coming up in weeks 6 and 7.  Our class has the great privilege of being coached by year 11 students in preparation for the Winter Sports Day.  This will happen every Thursday, so please could your child bring their yellow P.E. uniform to change into and wear suitable footwear.  Sometimes we will need to walk to Jubilee Park and there is often glass on the footpath.

Theme for this Term:

This term our focus is on how to be a good friend.  Jesus said: "I no longer call you servants, but friends"  John 15 verse 15.

God gives us guidelines for a happy life.  He says, "To have friends we need to show ourselves friendly".

We have been playing a lot of group bonding games, which has been great fun!  It is so neat to see Michael-Jon, who is new, 'part of the action' and class members have been going out of their way to be inclusive.

The proverb says, "A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly." (Prov. 18:24)
In other words, we have to work on building friendships.
True friendship is not one sided. Many are looking for friends who will help them, meet their need, be a friend to them, listen to their problems, be sympathetic and love them.

To have friends we must show ourselves to be friendly:  to meet the need of someone, to help them, to comfort them.
