Homework info

                                                                          

Dear Families,                                                                                                 

 Welcome to Room 5 in 2014!   Mrs Yuhayco and Mrs Shelley Campbell are both your teachers. Mrs Yuhayco’s days are Monday-Thursday, & Mrs Campbell will be teaching Fridays. We are looking forward to this year and hope that you will take the opportunity to drop by or email us at joanne.yuhayco@crs.school.nz. 

We have a different Biblical theme for each term.  
  

v  We only have swimming in term 1.  

v  Weekly homework consists of:

v  ◦ Scripture memory verses (2 a term), to be memorised in 4-5 weeks (starts wk 1)

◦ Daily Spelling and Multiplication-table Drills 

◦ A book to read each day –Please ensure your child has a journal bag – to prevent books getting damaged.

[Homework should be fully underway by WEEK 2]

(Please note: we require an adult signature for each aspect of your child's homework for their accountability),

                                   Learning about responsibility:

v  Please sign the homework log when homework is completed each day.  Your child understands that consequences will be applied if all homework given is not completed.  In this way, it passes the responsibility on to them.  

(At this age, students gain confidence and grow in character, through greater responsibility and ownership of their learning).

v  School opens at 8:30am- Classes begin at 8:50am & finish at 3pm. Students need to arrive at school before 8:45am to ensure they don't miss any important instructions.
