This term our class has been learning about Surf Sense and Water Safety. Our students were most privileged to have a visit from Dan Carter (of Whangarei Aquatic Centre ;-) ) Dan is a Swim School Instructor, Surf Lifesaver and Paramedic. We thank him very much for his valuable time.
What an enjoyable and engaging presentation! (Even Toby joined in! ;-) ). The children learned how to keep safe in the water, escape from a rip and how to help someone who has drowned. Here are some photos of our fabulous time:
